They were volunteers and selfless patriots. They gave their lives for our country. And we, who they have kept free, are left as the caretakers of their children. We estimate that over 15,000 children have lost a parent to combat or accidents over the last 25 years including 3,500 from the War on Terror. Public and private scholarships are hard for the children to find and do not cover the full costs of college. Every dollar donated to us goes directly to our children.
