Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation

Our History

Our Inspiration

In 1989 during Operation Just Cause in Panama, Sergeant William Delaney Gibbs was killed in action, leaving behind a young wife and an unborn daughter, Delaney. It was five days before Christmas. Our President, David Kim, served with Sergeant Gibbs and created the Children of Fallen Patriots as a way to help Delaney and the thousands of children like her.

How We’ve Grown

Since our founding we have grown quickly, raising over $1.1 million dollars. To date, we have granted over $450,000 in scholarships to 87 children and started a pipeline for 700 more. While we have made a strong start there are thousands more children who need our help.

Closing the Circle

We are proud to say that we have closed the circle these many years later as Delaney Gibbs, our inspiration, is now attending college with the assistance of the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation.
