Scholar Highlight: Anaya Hunte

Anaya is the daughter of Specialist Simeon Nathaniel Hunte who waskilled in action in 2003. With the help of Fallen Patriots, Anaya graduated from Morgan StateUniversity with a degree in Marketing.

Anaya is the daughter of Specialist Simeon Nathaniel Hunte who was killed in action in 2003. When asked what her dad’s service means to her, Anaya says, “It means everything to me. My dad did everything he could to help ensure that my family and I had a good life.”

 

With the help of Fallen Patriots, Anaya graduated from Morgan State University with a degree in Marketing in May 2024. During her time in college, Anaya was a member of the softball team, the Student Athletic Advisory Committee, Student Government, and the National Society of Leadership and Success.

 

When asked how receiving a scholarship from Fallen Patriots ha simpacted her college journey, Anaya says, “Children of Fallen Patriots has been a huge help for as long as I can remember. But most importantly, this organization has 100% helped me get through college.” Anaya plans on attending graduate school in the future.

 

There are approximately 25,000 children who have lost an active-duty parent in the military over the last 35 years. The vision of Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation is to ensure that every such child receives all necessary college funding.
