Caitlin Rowe is the daughter of U.S. Marine Captain Alan Rowe. He died September 3, 2004 from an IED explosion in Iraq. His loved ones say he was humble, strong, smart and hard-working. Caitlin says, “He loved the Marine Corps and had the respect of his Marines and his superiors.”
With the help of Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation, Caitlin earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from University of Southern California. She has gone on to earn her Master of Science in Engineering Management and currently works as a Projects & Integrations Associate at Sylmar Group.
Caitlin credits Fallen Patriots support for helping make college easier. “It’s because of Fallen Patriots’ support that I was able to get into a top school at a private university. The foundation helped with the purchase of my computer as well as tuition for my school,” she says.
There are approximately 25,000 children who have lost an active-duty parent in the military over the last 35 years. The vision of Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation is to ensure that every such child receives all necessary college funding.
