Scholar Highlight: Jaymie Howe

Jaymie is the son of Staff Sergeant Casey Elwin Howe who was killed in action in 2005. When asked what his dad’s military service means to him, Jaymie says, “My father is a hero to me and everyone who knows of his service. He is my inspiration to just about everything I accomplish.”

With the help of Fallen Patriots, Jaymie graduated from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Sports Administration and and a minor in Athletic Coaching in May 2019. Jaymie hopes to continue his education in Sports Management and Business Administration in the future.

 

When asked how receiving a scholarship from Fallen Patriots has impacted his college journey, Jaymie says “Fallen Patriots and its supporters were able to give me the tools needed to get through college knowing there were people out there continuously rooting for my success.”

 

There are approximately 25,000 children who have lost an active-duty parent in the military over the last 35 years. The vision of Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation is to ensure that every such child receives all necessary college funding.
