Scholar Highlight: Jordan Eshbaugh

Jordan is the daughter of Sergeant Daniel Michael Eshbaugh who was killed in action in 2008. When asked to describe her dad, Jordan says, “In my eyes my dad was the good in the world. He was willing to give everything to someone in need. You always knew where he was because the room was filled with laughter. My dad had a love for learning and was always striving to be better. He is remembered as the man who supported OU and Notre Dame football, loved barbecue grilling, being the life of the party, but most of all was devoted to his family and country.”

With the help of Fallen Patriots, Jordan graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Social Work and Public/Nonprofit Administration in May 2022. Jordan also graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Master of Nonprofit Administration in 2023.

When asked how receiving a scholarship from Fallen Patriots has impacted her college journey, Jordan says, “CFP supported me in more ways than I could have ever imagined – from tuition assistance that allowed me to graduate debt free to career symposiums with major corporations to providing me with friendships I hold dearly.” Jordan initially joined the Fallen Patriots family as a Scholarship Administrator and is now a Development Analyst.

There are approximately 25,000 children who have lost an active-duty parent in the military over the last 35 years. The vision of Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation is to ensure that every such child receives all necessary college funding.
