Fallen Patriots Honored at Virginia Beach Patriotic Festival
The weekend following Memorial Day, Chevrolet invited Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation to the Virginia Beach Patriotic Festival, honoring the military men and women of our nation.
Over the course of the weekend, Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation staffers Karen, Sarah, and Phil had the opportunity to meet hundreds of military families, from Vietnam veterans to active duty servicemen and women.
On the first evening of the festival, surviving daughter and Fallen Patriots scholarship recipient Sarah Cramer told the story of her father, Staff Sgt. Paul Cramer, who was killed in a plane crash while returning to Virginia Beach from a training mission with the National Guard at a Chevorlet reception.
After Sarah's speech, the team headed to the stage where The Band Perry performed later that evening. Chevrolet Representative Steve Hug kicked off the evening with a shout-out to Children of Fallen Patriots.
The following night, Sarah and Phil met country music Artist Jake Owen. Sarah gave Jake one of our wristbands, which he wore on stage during his incredible performance! The team had the pleasure of meeting Jake a few weeks earlier when he performed at THE PLAYERS Championship on the same day Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation was named the "Charity of the Day."
Special thanks to Chevrolet, Jake Owen, and everyone involved in putting on the Patriotic Festival for our nation's heroes.
