“The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that Saint Nicholas soon would be there.”
Stockings are an American Tradition during the holidays, but for some the holidays mean one less stocking hung. Gold Star military children will awake Christmas morning, without one of their beloved parents. Spinrite LP, North America’s largest craft yarn producer, partnered with Children of Fallen Patriots to make Christmas magic. Together we set out to create the World’s Biggest Knit/Crochet Stocking.

Over the past year people from across the United States, Canada and even Ireland have donated their time in making 36”x36” squares to help create the stocking. People were encouraged to create their squares out of Caron United yarn, and Fallen Patriots receives 15¢ of the proceeds from each ball of Caron United that is sold.
Established in 1952, Spinrite researches, develops, manufactures, and markets a variety of consumer craft yarn and pattern books for all segments of the market, from classic and cotton basics to novelty and fashion yarns.
“As a product that is made in America, Caron United is proud to raise awareness and support the mission of Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation,” said Ryan Newell, president of Spinrite LP.
