RESOLVE TO INVOLVE: HOST AN EVENT

Jan 19, 2016

Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation is honored to have the support from remarkable individuals who dedicate their time and expertise on behalf of our mission by creating and executing a fundraising event.  We are even more touched when it is children that step up to help other children.   Thirteen-year old Jordan Shoob dedicated his first 10K race to Gold Star military children. As an advocate for Fallen Patriots, Shoob raised a total of $5,000 in sponsorships to help us ensure college education for military children who’ve lost a parent in the line of duty. With this amount, Shoob’s fundraising efforts single-handedly covered the cost of an entire semester for one deserving student.

“The families of our military veterans sacrifice so much, and after hearing about Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation from my parents, I could not think of a better cause,” explained Shoob.

Siblings Ryan and Lexi Levine also wanted to give back to others. They decided to devote their B’Nai Mitzah to Gold Star military children. Due to their incredible dedication, the festivity ultimately raised $5,300 for Fallen Patriots.

Hosting an event is a great way to Resolve to Involve yourself this year to support Fallen Patriots mission.  A successful community event can be anything from a golf tournament to a cocktail party, or a fun run to a bake sale.

When you host an event for Fallen Patriots, we can help promote it by:

  • Including a listing on Fundraising Events Calendar
  • Posting on Fallen Patriots Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages
  • Providing graphics for printable events materials
  • Creating a custom event page on our website for the ability to accept donations for your event

Fallen Patriots continues to be inspired by the commitment of those helping us ensure a future for Gold Star children.  We are very excited about the fundraising events already planned for this year, and we invite everyone with the desire to help us to Resolve to Involve themselves in our mission during 2016 and beyond.
