America’s freedom comes at a great cost and we want to recognize those who made the ultimate sacrifice and those who risk their lives today so that we may continue to live in freedom. Independence Day has come and gone and we are reminded of the “brave hearts” that sacrificed their lives for our freedom, as well as the “bright stars” left behind.
Fallen Patriots sincerely appreciates all who have or are currently serving in the military, as well as those men and women who have died while defending our country. We serve to honor the legacy of and pay tribute to the bravest men and women who have given their lives in defense of our country.
Military sacrifice often involves a loss of a father or mother, leaving a child without someone to turn to for educational direction. Nearly 25,000 children have lost an active duty parent in the military over the last 35 years. Fallen Patriots strives to locate every “bright star” and provide them with all necessary college funding.
Rachel Splinter’s dad, Christopher Splinter, died from a roadside bomb in Iraq. Growing up without her father has been the most difficult challenge in her life.
“What helps me get through the pain is knowing that he died a true American hero, so that we can live free and safely and I know we will be reunited in heaven someday,” explained Rachel.
Independence Day festivities have now concluded, let’s remember those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice so we can continue enjoying our freedom.
