Elisabeth R. is the daughter of U.S. Air Force Technical Sergeant Paul Daniel H.. “He was always humorous and playful. I also saw his passion for his career on numerous occasions,” said Elisabeth about her father. “He was hard working and loved to learn and grow in his career.”

With the help of Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation (Fallen Patriots), Elisabeth studied Civil Engineering at Oklahoma State University. “When I started receiving assistance through Fallen Patriots, I felt that the assistance was my father standing beside me and encouraging me to finish and focus on my education and not be overburdened with figuring out the finances.”

After graduating, Elisabeth plans to work as an Engineer at Terracon in Oklahoma City or one of the other offices. She would like to work on her graduate degree while working full time and work her way up gaining experience to eventually become an office or department manager in the Geotechnical Engineering branch of Terracon.

“I plan to always acquire more knowledge and work just as hard as my father did every day of my engineering career because I know all of the hard work that he put into his career and this is my chance to make him proud and honor everyone who helped me achieve my educational and career goals.”

There are approximately 25,000 military who have lost an active duty parent in the military over the last 35 years. The vision of Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation is to ensure that every such child receives all necessary college funding.
