Military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty received an exclusive NFL and MLS experience during the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation Career Symposium with Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United FC on April 4-5. College students and recent college graduates who have received college scholarships from the non-profit organization were also given travel reimbursements to ensure they were able to attend this impactful career development opportunity.
Students learned what it takes to work in the sports industry through interactive panels comprised of NFL and MLS staff members from a variety of professional backgrounds. Fallen Patriots board member and President and CEO of AMB Group, Steve Cannon, spoke to the students as well about his professional journey. Owner and Chairman, Arthur Blank, also stopped by to break down the Blank Family of Businesses Core Values and how they are implemented throughout his daily life. Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn and President & CEO Rich McKay inspired the group during their discussion and expressed their gratitude for the military.

Thank you Fallen Patriots for the amazing experience!”, said Rachel R., daughter of fallen U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Trinidad R. Jr. The career symposium also included a tour of Mercedes-Benz Stadium and both the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United FC training facilities. “Another plus would be meeting cool new people and connections, and of course getting to bring home a mini helmet signed by Coach Quinn,” said Cameron E., son of U.S. Air Force Colonel Steve E.
