Surviving scholars have expressed to Fallen Patriots that they often find happiness in knowing their parent died with honor and purpose, serving our great nation. They also find happiness in future opportunities, including college.

Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation honors the selfless acts that our fallen patriots and their families have practiced. Soldiers that have died in the line of duty acted on the ultimate selfless act, sacrificing their lives for our continued freedom. A day to honor selfless acts is known as Four Chaplains Day, celebrated on February 3rd.

Katie Zimmermann’s dad, William J. Zimmermann, served in the Army National Guard and ultimately passed away in a helicopter crash. Katie was only two years old when he died.
