Plotkin founded Tallwoods Capital LLC in 2022 and serves as the firm’s Chief Investment Officer. Tallwoods Capital is a Miami Beach-based family office that focuses on long-term investments. Previously, Plotkin was the CIO and founder of Melvin Capital, an investment management firm that focused on consumer and technology stocks. Prior to Melvin Capital, Plotkin was a prominent trader at SAC Capital. Gabe received his bachelor's degree in economics from Northwestern University. Gabe is a minority owner and alternative governor of the Charlotte Hornets.
