Your putts can send kids to college

TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) – Your next round of mini golf could help send children to college.

Adventure Landing on Sheridan Drive in the Town of Tonawanda is raising money for the “Putt for the Fallen” campaign. Every $5 donation will go to the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation.

The group awards scholarships to children who have lost a parent in the military.

General Manager Tom Santalucia said, “Today is just as good as any. It’s a month where you don’t need a special day, time to think of someone that’s fallen and try to think of their families and what they need and what you can do to try to help them out.”

There will also be a special event at Adventure Landing on September 13. The fundraiser runs through the end of the month.

Active or retired military members with a valid ID can play for free.
