Artists Incorporated entertains with an opening reception on the first Friday of each month and highlights the works of several of its artists. The gallery is donating a portion of sales July 10 and July 11 to Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation to ensure that surviving children receive necessary college funding.

All 50 member artists of the cooperative gallery are showcased in the current show. Some of the artists created works featuring patriotic themes especially for the July exhibit. Two member artists are veterans --- Jerome Vason, painter and board member, and Calvin Macon, sculptor.

Honored guests at the reception were Xavier, Janina and Aleah Taylor, who are among the thousands who are receiving funds from Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation. Their father was killed in service to our country 10 years ago.

The next first Friday reception will be 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 7 honoring Cary Baker, Tora Johnson, Anne Reiser, Ethel Owen and Dottie West.
