Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation’s Leadership Team Advances with New Hires
Reston, VA – Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation is proud to announce recent executive hires John J. Lindsay, Vice President of Operations, and Peter Hogarth, Chief Financial Officer. Both come with a wealth of experience to further develop the foundation as the number of surviving scholars being served continues to significantly progress.
COL John J. Lindsay, USA, Ret. joined the Fallen Patriots team in September 2016 and will oversee the Foundation’s operations. John is a 1988 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he was a classmate of Fallen Patriots Co-Founder and CEO, David Kim.
Before joining Fallen Patriots, John completed a 28-year career in the Army as an Apache pilot and combat veteran, culminating as a senior officer leading, managing and directing the operations of Department of Defense organizations ranging in size from 200 to 10,000 personnel. His final assignment before he retired was Director of U.S. Army Aviation in the Pentagon.
“John’s extensive military background is ideal for immersing ourselves in understanding the circumstances that military families experience,” explains Kim. “We work closely with the families that we serve, and our operation’s team will benefit from his solid leadership skills and military background. It is an honor for me to be able to partner with such a distinguished classmate in this work.”
The success of Fallen Patriots can be told by countless surviving scholars, but the need for financial support continues to grow. Peter Hogarth has joined Fallen Patriots as Chief Financial Officer, bringing with him nonprofit leadership as the Vice President of Finance for the Special Olympics, the world’s largest sports organization for people with intellectual disabilities for more than 4.7 million athletes in 169 countries and over a million volunteers. There he ran the worldwide finance operations. Prior to that he has over 20 years of finance experience in business where we owned his own company and also worked extensively in the construction industry. He is a graduate of American University.
“Peter brings not only strong finance skills but a broad business acumen which will enable him to contribute in many ways to Fallen Patriots,” continues Kim. “We are blessed that Peter chose to bring his deep experience to our leadership team.”
The strength of Children of the Fallen Patriots Foundation is its leadership team. The leaders serve as guardians of Fallen Patriots mission and ensure that outreach continues to grow.
