Reston, VA – Dr. Laura Schlessinger, host of one of the most popular talk shows in radio history, raised $32,000 by selling jewelry and glass art from her Holiday Boutique to help send children of fallen servicemembers to college.

Dr. Laura has been helping people be better and do better in their lives for almost four decades on radio.  She has always been involved in working for various charities, especially those having to do with children and military veterans.  Since 2017, Dr. Laura has been supporting Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation’s (Fallen Patriots) mission to provide college scholarships and educational counseling to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty.

The boutique includes one of a kind jewelry and glass designs.  All designs from Dr. Laura Designs Boutique are original and handcrafted by Dr. Laura herself. “One thing about Dr. Laura that amazes all of us is that she is constantly on the prowl to learn new things: weaving, hand-knitting, polymer clay, wire wrapping, and most recently, fine silver metal clay and glass arts,” according to her website. “This boutique is the recipient of her passion and hard work.”

Fallen Patriots is honored to benefit from Dr. Laura’s incredible generosity.  Co-Founder Cynthia Kim remarked, “Dr. Laura has been an inspiration to me for several decades. I have been a fan of her program since the early 90’s and have read all of her books. It’s truly an honor to have her partnership and the amazing support of her listeners. The mission of CFP would not be possible without wonderful patriots like Dr. Laura.”
