Freedom Isn't Free
In memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice and those who risk their lives today so that we may continue to live in freedom, Fallen Patriots salutes you. As Independence Day approaches, we are reminded that Freedom Isn’t Free. Fallen Patriots sincerely appreciates all who have or are currently serving in the military, as well as those men and women who have died while defending our country.
America’s freedom comes at a great cost. Fallen Patriots serves to honor the legacy of and pay tribute to the bravest men and women who have given their lives in defense of our country. Sometimes the cost of our freedom is a loss of a father or mother, leaving a child without someone to turn to for educational direction.
Nicole Canegata’s dad, David C. Canegata III, payed the ultimate price defending our freedom when his Black Hawk Helicopter crashed from enemy fire during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Nicole believes that although the void of missing him will never be filled, he served a higher and greater purpose, and for that she is grateful for his selfless spirit, and salutes his bravery.
Nearly 25,000 children have lost an active duty parent in the military over the last 35 years, reminding us of the tremendous cost of freedom. Fallen Patriots strives to ensure every surviving scholar, like Nicole, has a future college education.
“My dad was the most patriotic and courageous person I knew. He died doing what he loved most, serving his country and fighting for what he believed in. That was his life’s purpose,” explained Nicole. “He knew the risks and went willingly to Afghanistan and Iraq to ensure our security.”
The vision of Fallen Patriots is to ensure that every child of the fallen receives all necessary college funding. The average cost gap for a four year college education is $32,000. Providing financial support for surviving children is an important investment in the future of America.
Fallen Patriots acknowledges that Freedom Isn’t Free, so we’ve made providing free college tuition for surviving children our duty. Join Fallen Patriots in honoring soldiers who have paid the ultimate sacrifice, by helping ensure a future education for their children. Every donation is greatly appreciated.
