Serving Scholars Across the Nation
A college education is not only crucial for success today, but also an opportunity for students to learn valuable life lessons they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. No child should ever be denied this opportunity because of situations they have no control over.
Children of Fallen Patriots works to play an integral role in the academic and personal development of surviving academic scholars at all levels of the educational process, as well as support the families of military men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice, their life. Fallen Patriots’ vision is to ensure that all children from surviving military families receive access to affordable college education. While these children all share a common bond as a result of losing a parent in the military, their backgrounds are very diverse.
Surviving children and their families come from all walks of life, with varying ethnicity, backgrounds, income levels and more. However, the single greatest gift we can give to honor these families is an affordable college education.
Over 97% of those killed in action are men, leaving mothers, who earn on average less than $50,000 per year, with the financial responsibilities of raising a family. While single mothers may experience a great deal of stress, they can find comfort in knowing there are organizations like Fallen Patriots who are willing to help. By providing scholarships to children of the fallen, Fallen Patriots continues to honor the sacrifice of those who gave their lives for our country.
